Session 51 - Attack on Ravenloft Part 2

 .....The battle continues

Strahd summons a spectre that attacks pallas and disappears as quickly as it appeared. Denzel runs in and attacks Ludmilla, and takes her head clean off. he throws the head to Baromar who doesn't catch it, and instead runs in to attack Anastrasia trying to get her to release the grasp on Grimdur, the attack hits but she manages to hold on. 

Ismark uses the holy symbol of ravenkind to freeze the vampires in place, it works on Volenta but Strahd decided to ignore its effects. Snowball then fireballs Strahd and inspires Baromar.

Grimdur breaks out and attacks strahd with the sun blade, Strahd returns the attack and grapples Grimdur, Ludmilla now headless makes a flailing blind attack towards Ismark but misses.

Gnarvick picks up the head to put it in the Bag of Holding, the head bites his hand and he drops it. Pallas uses the staff to cast cone of frost, which freezes Volenta, and the body of Ludmilla in place, Strahd on the other hand is not frozen. Anastrasia walks into the wall on the east side of the tomb and disappears. 

Strahd responds by opening a door and releasing several Ghouls into the hallways outside the tomb.  which Pallas Fireballs and makes short work of. 

Denzel runs into the room to attack Strahd and he closes the Portcullis locking him, and Ismark in there. Baromar calles out that they have the bones of Sergei in the bag, and Strahd replies that he will take them once the party is dead and thanks him for returning them. 

Ismark uses a sunburst from the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind causes Strahd to turn to mist and vanish, the party decide to put up a tiny hut and take a rest while they decide how to define Strahds tomb, and dispose of the frozen vampire brides
