The party are on their way out of Bryn Shander, when a runner approaches them from the town. A young man (catches his breath and then) says "the Speaker wishes and audience with you on a matter of great importance. " The party agree and follow the man back to the speakers office where they find a council has gathered for a meeting.
Representatives from all groups are present, Nox spots his contact from the Black Swords, Mochi the Gnome who sold him information representing the Thieves Guild, Lumberjacks, a cleric from the house of the morning lord etc.
The speaker tells them of a great danger growing in the south, the Duargar threat has escalated and its believed that they now have enough Chardlyn to create a construct of a dragon which would decimate Ten Towns.
The speaker asks that they go south to Sunblight and confront the Duargar doing what they can to destroy their foul presence. Etch and Nox start to discuss payment, and the possibility of resources to assist with their efforts and the speaker grows frustrated and explains that if they don't do this we will likely all perish to the Dragon.
The party agree to a reward of 750gp and hit the road to the south stopping at Good Mead for the night, where Etch gets a frosty reception from the inn keeper. They continue on the next day to Dougans Hole and then into the wilds.
Along the road they encounter a ravine with a huge drop of well over 200ft, and they see a rickety wooden bridge crossing it, Etch decides to use a fur ball and send the summoned creature across the bridge (A Giant Elk) as it gets to the other side a Yeti jumps out to confront it, and they start to fight, as this battle ensues a second yeti comes from behind them.
The trap is sprung but the party are strong enough to overcome the Yetis. As they take them down they hear a roar from a small hill above and see a young white dragon watching the battle, it takes to the skies and starts to fly away....until a still enraged Throt yells at it to return and fight.....It obliges.
They then battle the dragon and are able to over come its raw strength with ranged attacks and smart tactics. Taking it down.
Fighting the dragon causes some moral dilemmas for the ice wind kobolds who as a race primarily exist to serve dragons, they fled mid battle but as they see Throt overcome the dragon they fall into a state of awe and comfort in their decision to serve him.
The collect the Dragons head, and head up to the hill where they find its hoard, the dragon had a bunch of gold and silver stashed away which the party collect, and decide to camp out for the night before they continue their journey.
