Session 12 - Two Yetis and a baby

Garrett insists that the party head up the mountain to try and find his missing companions. He leads them up to the cave where they encountered the Yeti finding ropes hidden in the snow and paths where none appear to be. Mochi sends Snowy owl into the cave to see what is in there, seeing a person being toyed with by a baby yeti and a full grown yeti as Mochi describes the scene and the person Garrett confirms that sounds like a member of his party.

They head into the cave to find a collapsed section in the middle of the room, a rock ledge and an ice bridge. As Snowy owl watches the room, she attracts the attention of the Yeti who comes after her, as she flies away the Party enter the cave and Layton readies his flame throwing cannon. 

The Yeti appears and is angry, Etch creates an illusion in the Yetis mind of a miniature version of the sun, causing the Yeti to retreat, Nox casts Hex on the Yeti and they chase it down and once its out of sight they cast shatter to try and take it down. This is not enough to kill the beast and they chase it down to have Nogok finish it off with his crossbow. 

The death cry of Mumma Yeti echoes throughout the cave, and Kurash who is at the cave entrance looks around to see Daddy Yeti pissed off and coming in to avenge his fallen mate. The party turn to the entrance and get ready for the incoming Yeti, Layton turns his cannon around and prepares to fire, Throt heads out of to the cave entrance, and Kurash wildshapes into a brown bear taking the fight out onto the open ledge of snow. 

As their attention is directed to the Yeti, Mochi engages with the baby Yeti who after throwing the person across the room that it had been toying with was making its way to the ice bridge path exit. Mochi creates the illusion of a Cassowary in front of the baby, and its escape is forgotten while it tries to work out what the hell the large bird is.  

The party fight the yeti and the battle ends with Etch casting shatter, this causes the snow to crumble, and triggers an avalanche. At this point someone asks....where is Garrett?

They party determine that Garrett was hiding outside the cave in the snow after developing a somewhat rational fear of dying at the hands of a yeti and instead was killed at the hands of a bard.
