Session 10 - Duergar Stronghold (Continued)

 The party awaken from their long rest to find Nogok tapping at the bars, having followed their tracks and the trail of bodies in the stronghold. they show him around the keep, the armory, tell him of the spore servants, and show him the cages and goats......to which he pets a goat grabs its head and pulls it as far out of the cage as he can, opens his jaws and takes a bite from the goats neck. The goat screams out in pain, as Nogok takes another bite, then breaks its neck to end its agony...muttering something that sounds like multipass.

Throt tries to pick up the empty cage, but its too heavy so instead he puts the tied up Nildar in the cage. The party prepare themselves to face the spore servants, Nox casts invisibility on himself. Nogok moves to the door and opens it carefully, entering the room he sees 5 cage doors slide open and 5 Ten Town commoners step out, on closer inspection they all seem to have mortal wounds, and mushrooms growing from them.

Nogok and Throt move in to fight, and Layton calls them to step back, he pulls from his pack a long tube with a stand, and throws it down. Flames spit out of the end of the tube and it manages to take down 4 of the 5 Spore servants, Mochi moves in and takes the remaining one down with her rapier. 

They find a room beyond the prison, and hear two sets of loud snores coming from two closed doors to the north, to the south there are two open doors, with rooms beyond containing bed rolls and single chairs. 

Throt sneaks into the first room, and removes the sleeping Duergars head in a single silent swing of his great axe. Nogok says well done, and Throt uses the severed head, moving its jaw to say "well thank you". 

Nogok sneaks into the other room, and attempts the same thing with his war hammer, this time however the first strike wakes the Duergar who sits there stunned while Nogok takes several more swings at him, The Duergar pleads for his life, and Nogok yells die foul beast, as he finishes him off. 

Nogok kneels by the remains closing the Duergars eyes and says "Sleep Peacefully now Foul Beast" and starts to pray by the body. 

Throt takes the severed head back to Nildar and asks why he failed to mention the other two Duergar, the party then use a variety of interrogation tactics, including removal of fingers, threats of long drawn out pain before death etc to try and get more information. 

Nildar resigned to his fate, tries to smash his head into the cage to end things quickly, Nogok who tried to catch the head and missed, then holds his head, bites off Nildars thumb, kisses him on the forehead and crushes his skull in his hands...whispering multipass. 

Throt searches the very dead Nildar and finds a copper amulet with a family crest on it, while Nogok moves away to the corner of the room, dropping to his knees in prayer, sobbing out the words multipass.
