The party wrap things up at the strong hold loading as much of the supplies and weapons as they can onto the sled.
Kurash brings along the goat, and Mochi summons a snowy owl familiar as the party rest. They head to the spot marked on the hastily drawn map where they think the basecamp will be and sure enough they find a couple of tents pitched, and a dogsled with 5 dogs still attached, they had managed to get into one of the provision boxes under the sled to stay alive.
The release the dogs and open the other box to which the dogs rush in to eat the remaining food, only to be slowed down by Kurash who instinctively knows what happens when dogs eat too fast. Surveying the mountain they see a few routes that the missing climbing party would likely have taken. Kurash wild shapes into a vulture and flys up to some likely locations before he spots a body lying face down in the snow surrounded by blood. He lands and heals the person, to discover it is indeed Garret and he is still alive. Shooting a flame off the side of the ledge to indicate that he has found something.
Nogok scales the first section of the mountain and throws down a rope to help the others, Throt attempts to climb but finds that his gimpy leg makes it very hard, Etch climbs up and Layton stays on the ground.
Mochi sends snowy owl to scope out the mountain and whats above where the climbers are, identifying a cave at the top of the mountain.
Etch and Nogok begin to scale the mountain a stage at a time to bring aid, and as they eventually make it to where Kurash and Garret are chatting. As they arrive they hear a low guttural growling as two crag cats appear, They quickly form a defensive position and battle it out with the cats, seeing through snowy owls keen eyes the ensuing combat, Throt, Layton and Mochi start their ascent to help.
They take down the cats being cautious to not damage the pelts just as the others arrive to their aid. Nogok decides to eat some of the cat flesh while he works removing the pelt to the amusement of Throt who shares a secret about its effects with Etch but doesn't care to share with the rest of the party.
Kurash takes one of the pelts hoping to get it made into some hide armor and Nogok takes the other hoping it will make an excellent cloak over the Dwarven Scale armor he collected in the Duergar stronghold.
