Session 6 - Exploring Ten Towns

The party decide to rest up then head out the next day for Targos, arriving mid morning they light the lantern and find no sign of the pesky chwingas. They start into town and explore the area, a short way in they are approached by a stray dog trailing some broken leather harness behind it. The dog approaches Layton and tugs on his cloak beckoning him to follow.

They decide to see where he leads them, and after some twists and turns the dog runs ahead and scratches at a door. They knock and an happy excited man answers who demeanor drops quickly after he sees who is at the door. "Where is my Husband?" says the man. When the party says they don't know, he asks how they found Boy (the dog) and asks them in, introducing himself as Keegan

He sits them down and serves warmed apple cider, explaining how his husband Garret, left  about a ten day before, setting out with a party who wanted to climb Kelvins Cairn. He is an experienced climber, and was heading to Caer-Konig to Frozenfar Expeditions for supplies before he took the party up the mountain.

Keegan believes strongly that his husband is alive and likely in need of a rescue given the fact that Boy came home and asks the party if they would go to Cair-Konig and ask around for his well being and up the mountain to save him if need be. Keegan doesn't have money to offer but, has a friend who runs the Luskan Arms, and could get them some free accommodations.

The party agree and head out via Termalaine then overland to Cair-Konig. Along the way they see three strange shadows shaped like humans and seconds later, three large bird creatures with Stag heads land on the ground. They Ask in common and determine that the beasts Perytons are there to feast on the party.

Screaming "I am not anyones dinner" Nogok charges in and attacks. The party fight their way through the perytons, with the help of Dire-Kurash who was almost attacked in mistake by Layton, and decide to make camp and feast on some chicken deer, and rest up.
