As the party walk back to Good Mead they are attacked. A snowball(not that kind) hits Nox in the face and he drops the fox. A Chwinga runs out of the forest and jumps on the foxes back. Making rude gestures to Nox it rides the fox off into the forest.
The party head back to the mead hall and as they enter they find Kurash and Snowball waiting tables. The innkeep sees their friends and tells them" You can take a break, Melissa might be coming back soon" They take a seat at a long table with the rest of the party who fill them in on the Verbeeg.
They decide it's time to pass on the news of the mead to the innkeep and pick Etch as a frontman for the news. She is concerned at the thought of giving mead to the Verbeeg but agrees a smaller amount on a regular basis may be a sustainable solution. She promises to take it up with the new speaker once they are elected.
She offers them a round on the house as a thank you and reminds them of the unfortunate limits. Watching how Etch carried himself while delivering the news was a local cooper named Olivessa. She approaches the party as they drink their free round, and addresses Etch. As the leader of the party and one of such stature would he consider running for town speaker. As she tries to convince Etch that he would make a good leader, and provides some insight into the competition etc Nogok grows tired of her attempts (and knowing Etchs potential as a Speaker) yells at her "Were not fucking politicians leave us alone" to which Olivessa bursts into tears and runs from the bar.
The Innkeep comes over arms crossed and addresses the group, eyes shifting between Etch and Nogok and says "I think you should finish that up and leave" The party mostly agree and as Etch stands up he vomits firey acid into a trash can and sets it alight. As he does this Mochi and Nox use mage hands to drop his trousers and pull his shirt over his head. As he knocks the flaming barrel they mage hand it out the door and into the snow.
The drag Etch from the bar and decide to head to Dougans Hole.
Etch cleans up and they head out of town, as they approach the town, well about 3 and a half hours in to the journey, they spot a large wolf sitting on the side of the road whimpering. He speaks to them explaining that he needs their aid, and as he gets up they see his is limping on an injured leg. The party heal him and Kurash examines him to determine the source of the wound, to no avail.
They learn that the Wolfs name is Koran and that his master is a Frost Giant named Garagai, his master beats him and his brother often and they are forced into servitude to him. He explains that Garagai kidnapped two teenagers from the town and if they were able to defeat him and return the children that they would be heroes in Dougans Hole.
They ask about Garagai and discover he has a mammoth for a pet but otherwise will be alone in his keep. They follow the wolf who meets his brother outside the Frost Giants keep and they state that they will wait out here for the party to do their business, as they are too scared to face the master.
The party send in Snowy owl who finds a room where a whale was butchered the crude longsword sized pairing knife still on the ground, and a chest frozen in ice in one alcove. Snowy Owl keeps going and discovers a sleeping Mammoth in the entrance to the next room. The party sneak in and get ready to battle the mammoth, as Nogok in his armor clangs along waking it up.
The Mammoth looks at him with Angry eyes and says "Intruders, it is for the likes of you that killed my master. You will die for this transgression" The party battle the Mammoth who stomps Throt, and eventually falls to the scimitar of Layton who runs under it and opens its soft belly. Nox during combat while holding his new Wand that he has attuned to discovers his ability to cast spells is increased while he is holding this item.
The search the rest of the hold finding a meeting room with frost giant sized chairs, the body of a frost giant in a frozen pond, a whale oil storage room with a tunnel that leads out of the hold, and snowy owl skirts the outside of the building and discovers the children in another entrance.
They check out the tunnel and it looks like something bored its way in to take whale oil, leaving a milky secretion on the walls of the tunnel it dug. Nox takes this secretion and bottles it.
The party are deciding what to do next......
