Session 24 - A stranger met on the road.

 The party head towards Krezk and along the road they encounter a strange disheveled lady who greets them with a friendly albeit slightly acidic hello. 

"I am Mulberry Gun, this is my sword Big Weather, and I have been following you for a while and think you would be a good crew to fall in with"

After some too and fro the team agree to travel with Mulberry and head back to Vallaki for another night at the blue water to get acquainted. 

As they enter the bar Urwin gives them a very odd look. "Falling in with Druids now are we, first stealing and now this"

After some heated debate as to why she should be trusted Mulberry convinces Urwin that she is ok, he questions her ability to pay for the room, and the party agree to take care of it. 

Urwin urges Mulberry to recover the gem for his brother and for the good of Barovia, from the druid circle that stole it.

After a terrible nights sleep Mulberry meets the party downstairs for breakfast mumbling "too soft too soft"

The Party head to see the Vallaki Burgomaster, they inform him about the plot to take him out by Fiona and ask if he could help with safe harbor for Ireena, he says that as the Burgomasters house has in the past invited Strahd in this is not a safe place but Blinski the Toy maker or the coffin maker could and probably would help out. At this point Mulberry gets excited and talks about her Blinsky Spinning top that has a special song. The party can tell that the news of Fiona's plans have shocked the Burgomaster but he is too proud to outright say it. 

The party hit the road to Krezk where they decide to try and catch the Abbot while he is at the shrine. 

Along the way they encounter a small tree stump with legs and glowing eyes, the party attack immediately much to their new Druid friends disappointment, Mulberry then casts Talk to plants and asks the plant what its deal was. "DIE KILL DIE MULBERRY DIE KILL DIE" was the message the wood woad is an assassin conjured by the Druid circle to kill the deserter.

The arrive in town and convince Ireena and Ismark that Mulberry is legit, they then sit and watch the shrine waiting for the abbot.

Seeing the Abbot appear they approach him, and sneak a zone of truth on him to find out he has been around for a long time ~350 years, he is building a bride for Strahd and some other things such as he is responsible for taking care of the mongrelfolk and that the religious symbols in the Abbey would be hard to steal as they are quite large and attached to the wall. 

The party let the Abbot go about his business and then go to meet with the Burgomaster.
