Session 33 - The White Moose.

 The party head back to Lonelywood, where as they enter the town they are met by a halfling child, she tells them the speaker has asked for them. 

They head in to see speaker Nimsy and she looks worried, she tells them of the White Moose that has been terrorizing the area, and asks that they lend their muscle to the hunt. She offers them a basket of halfling shaped cookies, and as a sweetener a 1cp 10 year lease on the ramshackle inn, as she would very much like having them around town. 

The party agree and head out to find Davian, a Dwarven lumberjack who survived a moose attack and bought the news back to the speaker. 

In speaking with Davian its clear that even in the lucky liar, his tall tale is hard to stomach for most of the Lonelywood residents and they suspect he is the killer. They determine an approximate location for the location of the Moose and head out into the forest. 

They find the spot where Davian was attacked, and quickly locate tracks that lead further into the forest, they find a strange temple which instills a sense of wrongness and unease to the party. 

The temple is a stone structure, with a row of elf statues facing outwards, the unease seems to be emanating from them, they push one over and find some relief. So the push the rest over, and are able to explore the area without the strong sense of unease, but there is still some coming from the wall to the east. They Find a gazebo with a brazier and a sarcophagus atop a platform, etched into its lid is a picture of a flaming brazier, and around it are 5 pillars. The top of the pillars show a twig, a feather, a pinecone, a flame and a human hand. 

Continuing to explore they see what looks like a sundial, but instead it has phases of the moon around the circle,  as they are looking at this they spot a hole in the wall through which they see a very large white Moose peering out at them. 

The Moose tells them they will die for coming to this place and the battle ensues, the Moose falls shortly after. Looking around the Moose chamber they see three more elf statues these ones have far more detail after not being exposed to the elements. This appears to be the sleeping chamber for a lot of small animals.
