Session 9 - Goblins Revenge

Barlumin faces a terrifying combination of the worst parts of owl and bear that has just howled so loud he may need a new pair of undergarments. 

Running back to the party Barlumin fires an arrow back at the Owlbear, to find that it shakes off his hit and runs out the door. Outside the castle the Owlbear stops for a snack on the cowering Droop before disappearing into the forest. 

The party setup camp in the castle and spend the night in the remains of the goblins etc. Departing the next morning They lead the way with Gundren about 100ft behind them, as they round a bend in the road they hear a familiar goblin yel "thats them get em"

The party hears something large to the north of them on the other side of some bushes that sounds like Orcish trying to soothe something. Gnarvick heads around to investigate and finds a very large Ogre. Snowball uses his deck of illusions drawing a card to generate a Gnoll illusion. Throwing this next to the Ogre it is consumed with trying to destroy the Gnoll.

Pallas flanks to the south, and Barlumin continues down the road, he is rewarded with a Javelin from an unknown aggressor, and spies Yeemik the escaped goblin hiding behind a cart shouting abuse at them. Jamorin, and Selmak arrange themselves to take on Yeemik after Gnarvick lets them know about the Ogre. 

Appearing from the bushes around Yeemik the source of the Javelin appears in the form of several Orcs and they look pissed off. They are rewarded with severe damage from Pallas fireball wand, killing several of them instantly. One survives, and runs back to what he perceives as safety. Meanwhile a orc jumps out of the bushes next to Jamorin, who exchanges several missed blows with the orc....from both sides. Focusing his rage on Jamorin, Gnarvick, Snowball try hard to take this guy down. Meanwhile instead of helping his ailing colleagues, Barlumin instead takes out an orc with a 65ft shot with his long bow. 

Sick of watching Jamorin, Snowball and Gnarvick try and take this Orc down, Pallas takes him out with a firebolt.

The team move around to flank the preoccupied Ogre who is sadly not smart enough to realize the Gnoll is smashing the crap out of is an illusion.

Preparing to take him down Barlumin, Selmak, Snowball and Pallas attack from the West, with Jamorin and Gnarvick from the East. Barlumin hits it with an arrow, Selmak with a Javelin, Pallas with scorching Ray, but the dumbass Ogre thinks the Gnoll illusion has bitten back. 

Jamorin runs in and tries an attack dealing some damage and temporarily distracts the Ogre from the Gnoll, an arrow from Gnarvick helps things along but its Barlumin that takes the Ogre down with an arrow through its open mouth.

Haring the thud from the Ogres body hit the ground an Orc Chief, Bugbear Chief and appear flanked by some orcs and goblins. 

The team make short work of the troops leaving the bugbear and the orc chiefs. After they had yelled their disapproval of the parties mistreatment of Goblins etc, Selmak decided it was worth waving at them with a severed hand, infuriating them more. Jamorin faces off with the Orc chief after Pallas uses shield to avoid being smashed into lots of small wizard pieces. The team manage to take down the bugbear Chief with his last breath he screams they will burn in all 9 levels of hell for what they have done to the goblins. 

Only the chief remains as he slams Jamorin with his Great Axe scuffing his shiny silver armor, but eventually succumbs to the relentless attacks. 

Collecting trophies from the dead, Barlumin takes a Ogre fang, Selmak takes the Orc chiefs fang necklace. They locate signs this is the orc camp they had been tasked with clearing out, and find a chest with a bunch of coinage in it, along with three vials of perfume.  They collected some ashes of Yeemik and mixed some in with one of the perfume vials, to make some Eau De Yeemik for future use.
