Session 24 - Sephek

After searching the bodies of the bandits and their leader and finding small pouches of silver pieces on them the party regroups as Kurash in direwolf form and his wolf buddies pick up the trail of Sepehek heading into the forest. 

They follow closely and see the trail lead into a clearing, as they enter they see Sephek and a Yeti ready to fight them. Battle ensues and the polar bear fights the Yeti up close while the others make ranged attacks. The Yeti falls and the wolves begin to feast on its remains. The rest of the group including the kobolds close in on Sephek who after being surrounded misty steps over to attack Mochi, chased down by Throt. They eventually take him down, The Kobolds are very excited and Snorp takes Sepheks head and wears it as a hat. 

On Sephek they find a pouch of gold and little else. They head back to the cabin where they clear out the bodies and find an open trap door in the bedroom and an empty chamber below realizing that the leader had been a dupe and Torga was long gone. 

They rest for the night here and head back to town the next day. Meeting with the speaker in Dougans hole to bring news that the threat of Torgas against the town was now over. The Speaker reacts with trepidation at the news and asks if the town now needs to pay the party for protection but Throt dismisses the idea and say they are now free. The speaker however is not as happy as the party expected at this news as there was some benefit to their arrangement with Torga. 

They wrap things up in Dougans hole and head back to Good Mead, where they head to the Mead Hall to be greeted with a very dark look towards Etch. The Inn keep reminds them of the two drink limit and states that its one for etch only. As they drink Nogok over hears a conversation between two merchants sitting at a table, "Its full of gold I tell you, sitting there in the ice and no one knows where it came from" Nogok approaches them and lacking any semblance of subtlety asks about whats full of gold and where. The Merchants Nikol and Deryk say that if they tell him where it is, and the party recover the gold they would split it with them 50/50. Nogok gets excited and agrees, they draw a hasty map on a piece of parchment sending the party North West out of Bremen to the Sea of Moving Ice. They tell of the ship trapped in the ice and accessible by foot and how its allegedly full of gold.....and rum. As the rest of the party have now joined the discussion Etch agrees to go for the rum, and the rest for the gold. But once Throt hears of the terms, he uses some gentle....well ok not so gentle persuasion on Nikol to have him agree to terms which are more akin to we will share some of the treasure with you. 

They agree to meet in Bremen in a 10 day as Nikol and Deryk have business in Easthaven and then plan to head to Bremen, and the party decide to head to the ship via Bryn Shander.
